A First Taste of Eternity

On May 10, 2025, twenty-one of our children received their first Holy Communion. Receiving First Holy Communion is one of the most important moments in a Catholic’s life, marking the first time a person receives Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. Catholics believe in the Real Presence—that the bread and wine become the true Body and Blood of Christ during the Mass. This is not a symbol or a gesture, but a profound mystery in which Christ Himself becomes truly present under the appearance of bread and wine. In receiving the Eucharist, we are united intimately with Jesus, nourished spiritually, and drawn deeper into the life of the Church. For children receiving First Communion, it is the beginning of a lifelong relationship with Christ in the Sacrament that sustains us and brings us closer to eternal life.

Un Primer Sabor de la Eternidad

El 10 de mayo de 2025, veintiuno de nuestros niños recibieron su primera Comunión. Recibir la Primera Comunión es uno de los momentos más importantes en la vida de un católico, ya que marca la primera vez que una persona recibe a Jesucristo en la Eucaristía. Los católicos creen en la Presencia Real—que el pan y el vino se convierten en el verdadero Cuerpo y la verdadera Sangre de Cristo durante la Misa. Esto no es un símbolo ni un gesto, sino un misterio profundo en el cual Cristo mismo se hace verdaderamente presente bajo la apariencia de pan y vino. Al recibir la Eucaristía, nos unimos íntimamente con Jesús, somos alimentados espiritualmente y nos adentramos más profundamente en la vida de la Iglesia. Para los niños que reciben la Primera Comunión, es el comienzo de una relación de toda la vida con Cristo en el Sacramento que nos sostiene y nos acerca a la vida eterna.
